writes science fiction, fantasy, and climate fiction.

Author

I’m a Clarion West ‘23 Alum and Assistant Editor at Flash Fiction Online. Some of my favorite ideas to explore in fiction involve rural or out-of-the-way places, messy queer protagonists, and getting caught in time travel paradoxes.

Academic

I’m Professor of Spanish at West Chester University, where I teach Latin American literature and film, as well as courses in global science fiction and fantasy. My book, ARTELETRA, explores the politics of those who go unnoticed in the 1960s in Latin American fiction, and it won the Honorable Mention for the Best Book in the Humanities Prize at LASA’s Southern Cone Studies Section. In essays, I’ve explored topics such as utopian thinking, burnout, rage, and uncertainty in the literature of the Américas.
